Service professionals will keep their full earnings from Raksha Bandhan bookings for the day.
NOIDA (India CSR): At-home beauty and wellness platform Yes Madam has announced a 0% commission initiative for its network of more than 10,000 service partners on Raksha Bandhan, enabling them to retain 100% of their earnings from bookings completed on the festival day.
The initiative will apply to every service partner on the platform, irrespective of their performance category or the length of their association with the company. Until now, the 0% commission benefit was available only to high-performing partners who met defined performance benchmarks.
Yes Madam said the decision reflects the spirit of Raksha Bandhan and recognises the contribution of service professionals, particularly women, to its growth journey. Women account for around 90% of the platform’s service partner community. The company said the move is intended to create greater value for professionals who choose to work and serve customers during the festive occasion.
For many women service partners, including single mothers and professionals who may not have immediate family support, retaining the full day’s income can provide additional financial support for their households. The initiative also brings attention to the wider need for fairer recognition, income security and well-being support in India’s growing gig economy.
Aditya Arya, Co-Founder and CEO of Yes Madam, said, “Our service partners are at the heart of what we have built at Yes Madam, and Raksha Bandhan holds a special significance for us given that a majority of our partner community comprises women. For us, this initiative is not about the business impact of foregoing commission for a day. It is about recognising that many of our service partners will step out and continue delivering services on the festive day.”
“We wanted to acknowledge that commitment by ensuring that the day creates greater value for them and their families. We hope more brands consider initiatives that put their partners’ earnings and long-term well-being at the centre,” he added.
The company said the Raksha Bandhan initiative builds on its wider workforce-support measures. These include 0% commission for pregnant service partners, free health check-ups, interest-free loans, education support, accidental term insurance, lower-commission categories and partner-recognition events.
Founded in 2016, Yes Madam provides at-home salon and wellness services through trained professionals. The platform operates across more than 55 cities in India and uses hygienic, single-use product formats for its services.
