NEW DELHI (India CSR): To provide critical medical support to underprivileged children, Delhi-NCR-based foundation, The Hans Foundation (THF) has announced the expansion of its ‘Hans Paediatric Care’ program, with new additional services, in the coming financial year.
Expansion of Healthcare Initiatives
The initiative will focus on seven key areas i.e. Congenital Heart Defect Surgeries, Cochlear Implant Surgeries, Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU), Paediatric Intensive Care (PICU), Cancer Treatment, Bone Marrow Transplants, and Epilepsy Management will look to improve the health and well-being of underprivileged children through strategic collaborations with renowned hospitals across India.
Commitment to Quality Healthcare
As the world comes together on World Health Day, THF’s pledge to provide quality healthcare reaffirms this year’s theme of the universal right to access to quality health services, education, and information. With this expansion, THF aims to contribute to the well-being and future of children by investing in paediatric healthcare programs that prioritize accessibility, affordability, and excellence in care.
Evolution of Hans Pediatric Care
The Hans Foundation started working with underprivileged children for Cochlear Implant and Congenital Heart Defect Surgeries in 2013. In the last 10 years, the foundation has supported more than 3000 children for these life-changing surgeries. As part of the next evolution of the programs, upon this milestone, THF’s commitment to the healthcare needs of children has expanded to include new focus areas, under the umbrella of the ‘Hans Pediatric Care’ program.
Empowering Children’s Health
“Investing in the health of underprivileged children is an investment in our future. Through the ‘Hans Paediatric Care’ program, we are building a bridge of hope for these children, providing them with critical medical support and empowering them to reach their full potential. Seeing the smiles back on their faces is the true reward for our efforts,” said Ms. Shweta Rawat, Chairperson, The Hans Foundation.
Holistic Pediatric Healthcare Approach
The program recognizes the alarming healthcare disparities faced by underprivileged children aged 0-18 years and aims to directly impact more than 2200 beneficiaries through these interventions. From continuing to provide life-saving surgeries for children born with congenital heart defects, providing surgeries, devices and therapy to children born with hearing impairment, and adding on components of essential care in the NICU to new-borns battling respiratory disorders, offering comprehensive cancer treatment through chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery, the program encompasses a holistic approach to pediatric healthcare. Additionally, it addresses the specific needs of children with bone marrow transplant requirements and epilepsy, ensuring no child is left behind.
Multi-Location Outreach
With a presence in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Gujarat, Delhi, and Gurugram, this multi-location approach reflects the program’s commitment to reaching marginalized communities in diverse regions. This multi-location approach ensures a wider impact, making critical medical care more accessible to underprivileged children across the country. The foundation is already working with more than 20 hospital partners in almost 30 different locations across India and hopes to expand its network of partners to 40 in the upcoming year.
