UDAIPUR (India CSR): After drawing 7,000 runners from 27 Indian states and several countries in its previous edition, the Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon is set to return to Udaipur on 6th September 2026 for its 3rd edition. Organised by Hindustan Zinc Limited in association with Any Body Can Run, the AIMS-certified marathon will once again welcome runners from across India and beyond to experience the run of there lifetime.
Known as India’s Most Beautiful Marathon, the Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon takes runners through Udaipur’s scenic Fateh Sagar lakeside route, heritage lanes and the majestic Aravalli backdrop, creating a visually stunning and culturally rich running experience. The marathon has steadily grown into one of the country’s most distinctive community-driven sporting platforms, bringing together runners, fitness enthusiasts, first-time participants, corporate teams, women runners, senior citizens, differently abled participants and global running communities.

Rooted in the spirit of “One Run, One Community,” the marathon celebrates endurance, inclusivity, resilience and togetherness. The second edition witnessed a 40% rise in participation, reflecting the growing popularity of the event among state, national and international runners. This year’s edition will feature three race categories, the 21km Half Marathon, 10 km Cool Run and 5 km Dream Run, welcoming participants across age groups and fitness levels.
Over the last two years, the Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon has evolved beyond a sporting event into a celebration of community-led fitness, civic pride and purpose-driven participation. The marathon has played an important role in strengthening Udaipur’s identity as a destination for running, wellness and sports tourism, while encouraging citizens and visitors to experience the city’s unique blend of culture, nature and heritage.
The growing impact of the Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon goes beyond the finish line. With 7,000 participants in its previous edition, the event has increasingly contributed to Zinc City- Udaipur’s sports tourism and community engagement landscape, bringing together runners, families, local businesses, hospitality partners, travel stakeholders and fitness communities. The marathon will also continue its larger social commitment through its run-for-cause initiative, encouraging collective action towards meaningful community impact.

Registrations for the Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon 2026 will officially open from 1st June 2026 through the Udaipur Marathon and Hindustan Zinc social media pages and websites and will remain open until slots are filled. A virtual run option will also allow participants to join from anywhere in the world. Adding to the experience, participants will receive an exclusive Zinc Finisher Medal inspired by Hindustan Zinc’s mines, symbolising the spirit of Zinc City. Runners from across India and internationally are expected to join what has become one of the country’s most anticipated community sporting events.
Through initiatives such as the Vedanta Zinc City Half Marathon, Hindustan Zinc continues to strengthen its commitment towards community development, grassroots sporting excellence and active lifestyles.
