Toyota Kirloskar Motor to establish automobile skill labs, train faculty, and nurture vocational skill development, Building Future-Ready Talent for India’s Automobile Industry

BENGALURU (India CSR): In a major boost to skill-based learning, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Samagra Shikshana Karnataka (SSK), Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of Karnataka, to strengthen vocational education in the automobile sector for students studying in Grades 9 to 12. This initiative underlines Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s (TKM) long-term commitment to nurturing skilled youth in India’s automobile sector. Implemented in collaboration with the Government of Karnataka, the program combines classroom education with hands-on technical training, discipline, and life skills to prepare future-ready citizens.

Through structured training programs, faculty capacity-building, and industry exposure, the initiative will bridge the academia-industry gap while reinforcing Toyota’s CSR vision of “Grow India and Grow with India.”

The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by empowering students through practical, hands-on exposure in automobile technology and holistic skill development. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative is expected to benefit around 800 students across seven districts of Karnataka, including Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru South, Chikkaballapur, Haveri, Vijayanagara, Raichur, and Uttara Kannada, the company informed.
