The University has been awarding scholarships and fee concessions each year to its BTech, MTech, Management and Law students. 86 meritorious students were awarded scholarships and 106 students from the economically weaker sections were given fee waiver.

NEW DELHI: To celebrate the spirit of the Haryana Swarna Jayanti Celebrations, The NorthCap University, Gurugram held its Fee Concession and Merit Scholarship Distribution Ceremony 2016 today. Total 266 students benefited from the scholarships and fee concessions amounting to Rs 1.41 crores. Prof. Furqan Qamar, Secretary General, Association of lndian Universities, New Delhi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Professor Furqan Qamar, an internationally renowned and nationally respected educationist is dedicated to the inter-university system of the country. While addressing the students Prof. Furqan Qamar said, ““The efforts of The NorthCap University, Gurugram in providing fee concession to economically weaker sections and scholarships to meritorious students is laudable. Every university should follow the 3Es which are Equality, Expansion and Excellence and I am happy to see that NCU is following them.” Advising students, Prof Qamar said, “Students should be oriented towards merit, capitalize on opportunities provided by the University and continue getting better in whatever they do, but above all be good human beings”.
Other luminaries present were The NorthCap University’s Founder Members; Chancellor, Shri V Daulet Singh; Pro-Chancellor, Prof Prem Vrat and Vice-Chancellor, Brig SK Sharma (Retd).
Speaking at the occasion the Pro Vice-Chancellor Brig. SK Sharma (Retd) said, “The NorthCap University provides quality programmes which are recognized by the UGC and the Bar Council of India. The University understands its responsibility towards society and offers scholarships and fee concessions to deserving students and is committed towards sustaining this effort.”
Akshay Kumar, BTech, one of the beneficiaries of the fee waiver said, “I am from an economically weak background so could not afford a good education. With the benefit of the fee waiver I will be able to pursue technical education of the highest quality, get a well-paying job and support my family.”
