NEW DELHI: Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited has been conferred with the ‘Corporate Social Responsibility award at the 20th Asia Insurance Industry Awards 2016 held at Macau on 11 October, 2016. Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited was recognized for its commitment to creating a sustainable ecosystem for all by collaborating with various NGOs in various field of health, sanitation, education, disaster relief, sustainability and volunteering.
Speaking on this occasion Sibesh Sen, Head CSR, TATA AIG General Insurance Company Limited said, “It is a great feeling for us to be recognized by such a prestigious organization. It inspires us to continue our efforts in the CSR and Sustainability space with an even greater motivation.”
Some of the good work showcased by Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited for this category, was providing solutions at grassroot level and working along with the community. The company worked closely with Tata Trust & a couple of NGOs to adopt the Kuran village of Rajasthan for providing immunization, improve nutrition, sanitation, education, water conservation, irrigation & cultivation leading to improvement in financial income & creation of self-help groups.
