This figure represents a dedicated effort by the plastic products manufacturing leader to contribute positively to society, exceeding the minimum amount required under regulatory guidelines.

The company’s CSR activities are mandated by Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, which requires companies meeting certain criteria to spend a percentage of their average net profit on social welfare activities. For FY 2025, Supreme Industries Limited’s average net profit, as calculated under Section 135(5), was Rs 1144.31 Crores. This established a CSR obligation of Rs 22.89 Crores for the year, representing two percent of the average net profit. By spending Rs 23.01 Crores, the company spent Rs 12 Lakhs more than its required obligation. According to the sources, there were no unspent amounts in respect of CSR projects for the year. This excess amount of Rs 12 Lakhs is available for set-off in succeeding financial years.

Strategic Implementation Through Supreme Foundation

Supreme Industries Limited executes its social development initiatives both directly and indirectly, primarily through the Supreme Foundation. The Foundation was specifically established to drive these efforts, acting as the implementing arm for the company’s CSR commitments. The collaboration ensures a focused and structured approach to community engagement and project execution. The CSR Policy itself was approved by the Board of Directors on July 21, 2014, pursuant to Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, read with relevant rules. Empowering Education and Rural Development

A significant portion of the company’s CSR efforts is directed towards promoting excellence in education and supporting rural development, particularly in remote and underserved regions. The Foundation’s comprehensive education program includes facilitating educational infrastructure and learning resources, offering capacity building and training for educators, and creating platforms for rural children to participate in structured educational activities.

In FY 2025, initiatives were concentrated in specific areas of Rajasthan, including Ladnun, Sujangarh, and Bidasar Blocks, as well as in Sanskrit Schools across numerous districts such as Ajmer, Kekri, Shahpura, Bhilwara, Beawar, Nagaur, Didwana-Kuchaman, Tonk, Churu, Bikaner, Hanumangarh, and Ganganagar & Jhunjhunu. The Foundation renewed existing agreements and MOUs regarding the recruitment of volunteers and teachers in primary to senior secondary schools in various districts. It also renewed MOUs with the Divisional Sanskrit Education Officer, Ajmer, the Government of Rajasthan, and the Education Department, Nagaur. Demonstrating a commitment to early childhood education, an agreement was executed on July 1, 2024, for the upgradation of Anganwadi centres into “Maiya Ghar,” aiming to benefit around 6000 children. Plans were also made to support Anganwadi Centres at Didwana with the objective of developing them into effective learning centres.

Commitment to Environmental Sustainability

Environmental sustainability is a key pillar of Supreme Industries’ CSR and broader ESG strategy. A notable activity in FY 2025 was the significant increase in tree plantation efforts. Volunteer teachers, guided by the Trustees, undertook special initiatives to plant trees in several districts, resulting in a total of 162,054 trees planted in FY 2025. This is a substantial increase compared to the 13,970 trees planted in the previous year (2023-2024). These efforts are aimed at combating desertification, improving water cycles, and maintaining ecological balance. The company also initiated a District Waste Collection (DWC) center at Jaswantgarh Village in March 2025 to encourage waste sorting habits and potentially create a small earning process. These actions align with the company’s broader environmental goals, including transitioning to renewable energy, reducing GHG emissions, and effective waste management practices.

Enhancing Community Welfare and Health

Beyond education and the environment, Supreme Industries contributes to various CSR activities around its plant locations. These include the development of public facilities and the upliftment of the underprivileged, often through sponsoring healthcare programs. An executive summary of an impact assessment report specifically details projects aimed at enhancing community welfare in Nandurbar District. For FY 2025, the amount spent in Nandurbar was Rs 29,09,358. The report highlights the impact of projects like the Public Toilet Project and the Mobile Health Clinic Van. The Mobile Health Clinic Van, in particular, saw a significant increase in beneficiaries in the Molgi and Akkakuwa blocks of Nandurbar district, surging to 15,105 from 11,835 in the previous year. The van was crucial in providing health check-ups directly within communities, spearheading health campaigns, providing awareness sessions, and offering check-ups and counseling for students, adolescent girls, and women at the village level. Additionally, the company contributed Rs 1.5 Crores during the year towards a commitment of Rs 5 Crores to set up a Plast India University in Vapi.

Governance and Oversight

The company’s CSR efforts are overseen by a dedicated Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, constituted pursuant to Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013. For FY 2025, the committee comprised Shri R. Kannan (Chairman), Shri B. L. Taparia, and Shri M. P. Taparia. The committee met on April 25, 2024, to review activities and approve plans. The committee is responsible for formulating and recommending the CSR Policy and activities to the Board and monitoring policy compliance.

Related party transactions in relation to CSR expenditure amounted to Rs 19.45 Crores in FY 2025. This figure is likely linked to the channeling of funds through the Supreme Foundation, which is a related party used for implementing the CSR activities.

Looking Ahead

Demonstrating a continued and strong commitment to social responsibility, Supreme Industries Limited has made plans to spend approximately Rs 28 Crores on various CSR activities during the upcoming financial year, 2025-2026. This planned increase signals the company’s intention to expand the scope and impact of its community development and sustainability initiatives in the future. The audited financial statements confirm that the company complied with the requirements of Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, and there were no unspent amounts related to CSR projects during FY 2025.
