Foundation engineering company closes the year with a ₹214-crore order book; EBITDA reaches ₹38.22 crore and profit after tax stands at ₹13.75 crore

NEW DELHI (India CSR): Suntech Infra Solutions Limited reported its highest-ever annual revenue in FY 2025–26, supported by stronger project execution and rising demand from India’s infrastructure and industrial sectors. Revenue from operations increased by 16% to Rs. 176.27 crore during the financial year. The company closed the year with an order book of Rs. 214 crore, providing strong revenue visibility for FY 2026–27.

According to Chairman and Managing Director Gaurav Gupta, the performance reflects a fuller opening order book and steadier execution by the company’s project teams. “This was a year in which the work of foundations found itself at the centre of India’s growth story,” Gupta said in his statement to shareholders.

Profitability Remains Strong

Suntech Infra Solutions reported EBITDA of Rs. 38.22 crore during FY 2025–26. Profit before tax stood at Rs. 18.59 crore, while profit after tax reached Rs. 13.75 crore. Based on the reported figures, the company achieved an EBITDA margin of approximately 21.7% and a net profit margin of about 7.8%.

The company said its growth was achieved without overextending its balance sheet. It continued investing in equipment and operational capabilities while maintaining internal limits on leverage.

Infrastructure Expansion Drives Demand

India’s continuing infrastructure expansion created strong opportunities for specialised foundation engineering companies during the year. Government capital expenditure, projects under the National Infrastructure Pipeline and integrated planning through PM Gati Shakti supported activity across several sectors.

Demand emerged from metro rail networks, refineries, petrochemical facilities, data centres, renewable energy projects, industrial corridors and public infrastructure. Suntech specialises in complex foundation work, including large-diameter bored piles, sheet piling, soil stabilisation and ground improvement across challenging geological conditions. Although foundation engineering largely remains invisible after project completion, it forms the structural base of bridges, metro corridors, refineries, industrial plants and highways.

Major Industrial Projects

During the year, Suntech executed piling and civil engineering assignments at several major industrial locations. These included the Adani Group’s Green PVC project at Mundra in Kutch, Reliance Industries’ CPVC expansion project at Dahej and the HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited grassroots refinery at Pachpadra in Barmer. The project mix reflects the company’s strategy of maintaining exposure across petrochemicals, refineries, infrastructure and large industrial developments.

Equipment Fleet Crosses 100

Suntech’s operating fleet stood at more than 100 pieces of equipment at the end of FY 2025–26. The equipment was deployed across multiple states and industries. Its portfolio included metro rail, real estate, industrial plants, power projects, refineries and public infrastructure. This diversified mix helped protect operations from slowdowns in any single sector.

The company continued investing in higher-capacity rigs and specialised engineering capabilities needed for complex pile designs. Better planning and site supervision also helped improve execution time across important project categories. Its nationwide presence enabled the movement of equipment between regions based on monsoon conditions, labour availability and client schedules.

Digital Systems and Cost Controls

Suntech has begun strengthening its internal systems to support a larger scale of operations. The company is working to improve site reporting, equipment tracking, project costing and operational data management. It also plans to invest further in enterprise resource planning systems and a more consistent reporting framework.

Management expects better systems and cost controls to improve margins, predictability and decision-making over time.

Five Priorities for FY 2026–27

With a Rs. 214-crore order book, the company’s immediate priority is to complete projects on schedule while maintaining cost and quality standards.

Its five priorities for the coming year are:

  1. Converting the existing order book into disciplined project execution.
  2. Making measured investments in rigs and supporting equipment.
  3. Expanding the engineering and site-supervision workforce.
  4. Improving ERP, project costing and operational reporting.
  5. Maintaining financial discipline through industry cycles.

Future capital expenditure will primarily support projects in metro rail, refineries, industrial plants and renewable energy. “Specialist foundation work is, ultimately, a people business,” Gupta said, highlighting the importance of trained engineers, operators and project supervisors.

Labour and Payment Cycles Remain Key Risks

The company identified monsoon-related disruption, changes in diesel and steel prices, skilled labour shortages and extended client payment cycles as significant operational risks. Trained equipment operators and site supervisors remain among the industry’s most constrained resources. Global interest rates, commodity cycles and geopolitical developments can also affect project costs and client investment decisions. Suntech plans to manage these risks through a diversified sector portfolio, established client relationships, controlled leverage and closer monitoring of project-level and enterprise-level exposures.

Foundations Supporting India’s Growth

Gupta said India’s infrastructure expansion represents a long-term opportunity rather than a short-lived investment cycle. He thanked the government, clients, board members, employees, auditors and shareholders for supporting the company’s growth. “A foundation, by definition, is invisible once the work above it begins,” he said. “We do not see our piles after they are in the ground, but the bridge stands, the plant runs and the metro moves.”

The company expects the next phase of growth to require additional equipment, deeper engineering capabilities and greater execution discipline. As India undertakes one of the largest infrastructure-building programmes in its history, Suntech Infra Solutions aims to strengthen its position in the specialised engineering work that supports construction below ground.
