TUTICORI (Tamil Nadu): Tuticorin based Sterlite Industries (I) Ltd (SIIL) in association with District Blood Bank organized a one day blood donation camp at Govt. Hospital campus, Tuticorin on 24th November 2011.
The event was conducted by Sterlite Red Ribbon Club, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of the company to create awareness on the importance of blood donation in the present scenario.
Dr. Kailasam, Chief Medical Officer, SIIL inaugurated the camp which received a good response among the Sterlite employees as 68 of them turned up for the event. Certificate of appreciation to all the donors will be distributed soon by Sterlite.
Dr.R.Shanthi, District Blood bank, Tuticorin Government Hospital ,Dr. Arun ,Occupational Health Centre- Sterlite and Mr.R.Rajasekarapandy, Head – CSR were among those who were present during the camp.
