NEW DELHI (India CSR): Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital, a multi-speciality hospital, in partnership with Healing Little Hearts (HLH), recently conducted 45 free of cost paediatric cardiac surgeries in just one week i.e. 9 to June 16. This collaboration highlights a dedicated effort to deliver essential medical care to children suffering from Congenital Heart Disease (CHD), prioritising their well-being and recovery.
Located in a remote rural village of Chikkaballapur district, Karnataka, India, Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital, the teaching hospital of India’s First Free Private Rural Medical College – Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research–provides the essential infrastructure and support necessary for these critical surgeries. This initiative meets the urgent healthcare needs of underserved children and strengthens local healthcare resources, empowering the community with enhanced medical capabilities.
Led by Dr Sanjiv Nichani, Founder of Healing Little Hearts, a dedicated team of healthcare professionals from the hospital and HLH volunteered their expertise and time to perform these surgeries. Their unwavering commitment and compassion have saved lives and brought hope and relief to families who would have otherwise struggled to access specialised tertiary medical care.

Dr Sanjiv Nichani expressed his appreciation stating, “We are profoundly grateful to Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Multi-Speciality Hospital for their invaluable partnership in making these surgeries a reality. Together, we have made a significant impact on the lives of children and their families, demonstrating the power of collaboration in healthcare.”
