NEW DELHI: Renowned social reformer, thinker, sociologist and well-known author Sulabh International Founder Padma Bhushan Dr. Bindheshwar Pathak would deliver a special talk at India Sanitation Summit ‘Sanitation for All – Toilet First’ to be held on 6 Feb 2015 at Lakshmipat Singhania Auditorium, PHD House, August Kranti Marg, New Delhi. Aligned to ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ (Clean India Initiative) Summit is being organized by IndiaCSR Group with the support of various likeminded organizations. Sulabh international has built 13 lakh toilets in houses and constructed over 8,000 public toilets at important places across the country, which are being used by more than 15 million people everyday. About 200 of the toilets are linked to biogas plants. Sulabh has converted 1.3 million bucket toilets into flush toilets and lakhs of scavengers have been freed from manual cleaning of human faeces.
The India Sanitation Summit will involve some of the most reputed and competent Indian and International speakers from government and private sectors, research agencies, innovators, social scientists and thought leaders dealing in sanitation and toiletries industries in the country. There will be 30 speakers and more than 200 participants projected in this exclusive summit.

Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak is a Padma Bhushan recipient from the Government of India. In 2003, his name was added to the Global 500 Roll of Honour. Bindheshwar Pathak also received the Energy Globe Award, the Dubai International Award for Best Practices, and the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award for Environment. Stockholm Water Prize was awarded to him in year 2009. In June, 2013, he also received the Legend of Planet award from the French senate in Paris, ahead of World Environment Day.
