PUNE: Extending its support to road safety initiatives undertaken by Pune city traffic police, SKF announced sponsoring of 125 safety barricades to Pune city traffic police. At an event at the SKF Pune factory premises, Mr. Shishir Joshipura, Managing Director and Country Head, SKF India handed over safety barricades to Mr.Vishwas Pandhare, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Pune city traffic police.
Mr. Shishir Joshipura, Managing Director and Country Head, SKF India said, “Our guiding principle of SKF Care includes community care. SKF will continue to contribute towards making a meaningful difference to the communities we operate in and hence we extend our support to this endeavor of Pune city traffic police.”
Mr.Vishwas Pandhare, DCP, Pune city traffic police, said, “When on road, always say Pehle Aap (you first) which was also the theme for this year’s road safety fortnight. Road safety is of paramount importance and it is vital to take adequate measures to avoid mishaps. Placing safety barricades is a small step in the right direction and we are pleased to have SKF support us, in ensuring a safer environment for the people of Pune.”

SKF India extends its support to this safety initiative by Pune traffic police to help them in increasing awareness about road safety and ensuring reduced road accidents in the future.
To promote and create awareness about road safety and traffic rules, Pune city traffic police scheduled ’Road Safety Week’ from January 3 to January 17.
