Sahibabad: Tata Steel BSL organized a campaign to spread awareness about energy conservation called -‘Sahayog- Urja Bachat Ki Aur’. A virtual session on the subject was conducted where 240 school teachers from schools of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh around our plant in Sahibabad had participated.

It is a part of a three month long campaign on energy conservation run by Tata Steel BSL under its Integrated Development through Innovative Approach (IDIA).

Anoop Kumar Trivedi, Executive Plant Head, Tata Steel BSL, Sahibabad said, “We are glad that ‘Sahayog- Urja Bachat Ki Aur’ received such a tremendous response from everyone. We believe in making sustainable choices and protecting the environment. This campaign is a step towards empowering the new generation of the responsibilities they have towards the environment and how can they use it more efficiently.”

The campaign has reached out to the youth and adolescents of Maharajpur and Kadkad Model in Sahibabad. Besides the teachers from 240 schools will carry forward the messages to thousands of students in their respective schools on the importance of energy conservation.

As an innovative approach towards energy consumption, competitions have been also launched in schools of Ghaziabad for the students to share their ideas on energy saving and conservation through videos, paintings and posters.
