ANGUL: With an objective to strengthen its Safety Culture with commitment towards Zero-Harm, Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL) has launched an innovative practice at its 6 MTPA Integrated Steel Complex, Angul. The Interdepartmental Safety Competition held by this steelmaker every month, attracts participation of each and every unit of the steel complex.
For the month of July, the Safety Competition was held on the theme of ‘electrical safety’ and the Power Plant team won the safety trophy. Executive Director (i/c) and Location Head of the JSPL’s Angul unit Dinesh Kumar Saraogi presented the trophy to the team, led by RK Gupta, Head of Power Plant.
Presenting the Award, Saraogi said, “At Jindal Safety always comes first. By promoting a safe work culture, we can save several precious lives. Each and every person working in our plant should contribute to the Zero-Harm commitment of the Company by using taking proper safety measures for self and other team members”.
Every month the Fire and Safety Department conducts, thorough audit of each unit based on the theme of the month. “The Unit having best safety practice and highest score is given a certificate and trophy,” informed Fire and Safety Head of JSPL Kaushalendra Singh.
