India’s job market is really tough now. There are a lot of graduates and mid-career professionals looking for good jobs, but there are not many available. At the same time, a new career path is getting popular: the remote high-ticket sales closer.

Remote high-ticket closers do something specific. They handle scheduled Zoom appointments for big products and services on behalf of international businesses like marketing agencies and online service providers in the United States. There are also classes to help reduce accents, so people from the US understand them better. The good thing about this job is that it does not involve calling or making unwanted phone calls. These’re booked appointments with people who are already interested.

The best part is that you do not need a visa; you do not need to move to another country. You do not need a technical degree. All you need is to be able to have a conversation on a Zoom call.

Demand for high-ticket closers is increasing. With artificial intelligence making it easier to start and run businesses, there are more marketing agencies, coaches, and SaaS companies serving global markets. These businesses need people to lead the final conversation with clients when they make a big purchase.

Dev Chakravarti, founder of Remote Closer Academy, says that artificial intelligence is creating online businesses, but when it comes to big purchases, people still want to talk to a human being. “Nobody pays a lot of money to a chatbot,” he says. “When the purchase is big, the buyer wants to trust a human before saying yes.”

For professionals, this job is appealing for many reasons. The work is fully remote. The hours are usually in the evening and night, which is perfect for people who want to work from home. Many Indians are taking up high-ticket closing as a second job, doing appointments in the evening after their regular job. This way they can earn money in US dollars without having to go through the hassle of getting a visa.

Dev Chakravarti says that until now, earning in dollars from India meant freelancing or building your business to serve US clients. Remote high-ticket closing is different. You do not have to run a business or find clients. You just work with existing US companies to close appointments they have already set up.

Chakravarti knows what he is talking about. He has worked with US clients since 2010. Built a successful agency. He says that his biggest problem was not finding business but finding Indians who were trained to lead and close high-ticket Zoom appointments with American clients.

Remote Closer Academy is a training platform that teaches professionals the skills they need to become remote high-ticket closers. The platform has video lessons, tests, and roleplays to help learners practice and improve their skills. There are also classes to help reduce accents, so people from the US understand them better.

The program is milestone-based, and learners get certified based on their performance, not for completing the course. Dev Chakravarti says that watching videos is not enough. Learners need to practice and test themselves to become closers.

Learners who do well in the program can get connected with job opportunities through the academy’s network of partner companies. However, the academy makes it clear that these opportunities are based on performance, not guaranteed for every learner.

Industry experts note that while appointment-setting roles are becoming more popular among Indians working remotely, high-ticket closing is still a known career path despite the growing demand.

Dev Chakravarti says that India has traditionally prepared people to apply for jobs, but not many have been taught how to lead a sales conversation. The professionals who learn this skill now are positioning themselves for a market that is only getting bigger.
