The Pro Kabaddi League is back with its 10th season, and the anticipation among kabaddi enthusiasts is at an all-time high. The auction for the upcoming season, set to span two days, from October 9th to October 10th, has attracted over 500 players, including those who shone at the Khelo India University Games 2023. This auction promises to be a thrilling event, with teams vying for top talent to strengthen their squads for the upcoming season. The Battle Begins: 12 Teams Compete for Glory

As Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 approaches, 12 teams are gearing up for fierce competition. Each team will vie for the championship title, making this season one of the most anticipated in the history of the league.

Increased Purses: A Boost for Teams

In a significant development, the purse for the teams has seen a substantial increase, rising from Rs 4.4 crore to Rs 5 crore after three seasons. This extra financial firepower will undoubtedly play a crucial role in shaping the teams’ strategies during the auction. So far, the teams have retained a total of 84 players, leaving them with the task of completing their squads through the auction.

Timings and Dates

The Pro Kabaddi Auction 2023 will kick off on October 9th and continue through October 10th, with proceedings commencing at 8:15 PM IST on both days.

Television Broadcast

Fans can catch the live action of the Pro Kabaddi Auction on the Star Sports Network, including Star Sports 2 SD, Star Sports 2 HD, and Star Sports First.

Categories and Base Prices

Players in the Pro Kabaddi Auction 2023 are categorized into domestic and overseas players, further divided into four subcategories based on their base prices:

  • Category A: Base price of Rs 30 lakh
  • Category B: Base price of Rs 20 lakh
  • Category C: Base price of Rs 13 lakh
  • Category D: Base price of Rs 9 lakh

Skill Sets

Each player falls into one of three skill sets: Raider, Defender, or All-rounder, adding a layer of strategy and diversity to the teams’ selections.

Squad Composition Rules

Squad Size Limits

Teams participating in the Pro Kabaddi Auction 2023 can have a minimum of 18 players and a maximum of 25 players in their squad, requiring them to make strategic choices during the auction.

Overseas Player Quota

Each team must include a minimum of two and a maximum of four overseas players in their squad, reflecting the league’s commitment to international talent.
