Santosh Kumar Jawalkar has been at the forefront of this technological evolution, bringing a keen eye for detail and a passion for innovation to the MR landscape. His career has been dedicated to ensuring the quality and stability of MR device software through meticulous testing and debugging processes. “The key to a seamless MR experience lies in rigorous validation across diverse hardware configurations,” he explains. Jawalkar has worked closely with cross-functional teams, bridging the gap between hardware engineers and designers to guarantee smooth software and hardware integration, with a particular focus on cross-platform compatibility.
One of his standout contributions has been the enhancement of AR/MR application efficiency through system performance optimization. His efforts in conducting regression testing and implementing automated testing frameworks not only improved software stability but also reduced deployment failures. “Introducing automation was a game-changer,” he recalls. “We increased automation coverage by 20%, which significantly accelerated our testing cycles and improved overall product reliability.” His work led to a 20% reduction in software bugs, resulting in more polished user experiences and smoother MR transitions.

We need environments that handle varied hardware and network conditions effectively to guarantee performance consistency,” he states. Accessibility, the assurance that MR experiences will work for a variety of users, is another focus, together with a push for more intense safety-critical testing methodologies to increase reliability.
His publications further cement his thought leadership in the space. Multiple papers are in progress, including research on “End-to-End Testing of Multi-User AR/VR Experiences” and “Intelligent Edge Testing for Performance and Reliability in AR/VR Devices.”
