NEW DELHI: A socially responsible brand, Parryware, a frontrunner in the bathroom space in India has undertaken a project under its CSR programme to improve the health safety and dignity for families living in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan by providing sustainable sanitation solutions in the targeted villages. For this initiative, Parryware has joined hands with Habitat for Humanity (HFH) India, a non-profit organization that builds homes and provides housing-related services to low-income, marginalized families across India.

This initiative by Parryware with HFH will include construction of household toilets for 210 families in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. HFH India will construct toilets and provide technical assistance with a special focus on behaviour change and community awareness to ensure use of sanitation facilities.

Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, Parryware will donate 210 pans and would be allocating funds towards construction of toilets. Through this initiative, Parryware intends to address issues of providing good infrastructure which is the first step in inculcating a mindset change in rural areas about toilets being a hygienic alternative.

“Poor sanitation has a far-reaching impact on health and wellbeing of children and families. We are determined to offer proper sanitation facilities for the betterment of the society. We are extremely happy to announce our partnership with Habitat for Humanity. Through this partnership, we would be reaching out to 1050 individuals through 210 household latrines. With this initiative, we hope to bring a small change towards better hygiene and sanitation in India.” said Pau Abelló Pellicer, MD, Roca Bathroom Products Pvt Ltd.
