Open Atlas Summit 2026 will bring together 1,000+ founders, engineers, students, investors and professionals to build careers, companies and lasting connections beyond traditional networking.

Most professional conferences promise networking.

Attendees exchange business cards, add one another on LinkedIn and return home with a folder of photographs, promotional material and conversations that rarely continue.

Open Atlas Summit 2026 is being built around a more ambitious question: What happens when more than 1,000 high-skilled immigrants come together not simply to network, but to find jobs, build companies, exchange knowledge, meet collaborators and help one another navigate life in America?

The Summit will take place on August 21 and 22, 2026, at the India Community Centre in Milpitas, California. Across two full days, founders, engineers, students, creators, recruiters, investors, attorneys and experienced immigrant professionals will participate in a Job Fair, Hackathon, keynotes, workshops, legal consultations and tactical career and startup sessions.

A gathering designed to produce outcomes

The first day of the Summit will place collaboration at the centre of the experience.

On Friday, August 21, the event will host a dedicated Job Fair and Hackathon. Job seekers will be able to move beyond online applications and interact directly with founders, employers and recruiters. Builders will present ideas, develop solutions and meet potential teammates. Investors will have an opportunity to encounter immigrant-led products and early-stage founders in person.

The AI for Social Good Hackathon will focus on challenges affecting immigrants and wider communities, with awards for projects in immigration, education, financial inclusion, career access and newcomer settlement. The programme includes more than $10,000 in cash and prizes and is expected to attract technologists, designers, product professionals and investors scouting immigrant-founded ideas.

This matters because some of the most important opportunities do not begin with a formal application. They begin when an engineer meets the founder who needs their skill set, when two professionals recognise that they should build a company together, or when an investor sees a product demonstrated by the person who created it.

Careers, companies and immigration under one roof

The second day will expand the conversation beyond introductions.

On Saturday, August 22, attendees will be able to choose from keynotes, fireside chats, workshops and tactical sessions spanning:

  • FAANG hiring, layoffs and career growth
  • Startup fundraising and immigrant entrepreneurship
  • O-1, EB-1A and EB-2 NIW pathways
  • J-1 and cap-exempt H-1B options
  • EB-5 and alternative immigration routes
  • Artificial intelligence and the future of work
  • Personal branding and professional visibility
  • Wealth building, taxation and financial planning
  • Admissions and access to leading universities
  • Creator careers and non-traditional professional paths

The Summit will also include a Legal Desk, providing one-on-one attorney consultations for attendees navigating business formation, intellectual-property protection, visa planning and major career decisions.

The result is an event where an attendee can speak to a recruiter in the morning, learn about fundraising in the afternoon, discuss immigration planning with an attorney and end the day having met potential collaborators who understand the complexity of building a life in a new country.

Building on a successful first edition

The 2025 Summit demonstrated the demand for such a gathering.

Hundreds of immigrants attended two days of programming in Milpitas, with over 40 speakers, a sold-out job fair, legal consultations, founder workshops, leadership conversations and community lounges. The 2025 job fair alone brought together more than 30 high-growth startups and over 400 international students from STEM backgrounds.

The official Open Atlas platform now describes itself as a community of more than 10,000 founders, engineers, students and creators. Beyond the annual Summit, its members exchange job leads, immigration experiences, referrals, admissions advice and professional support through online channels, webinars, dinners and city-based events.

The 2026 Summit is intended to bring that year-round network into one physical space and make the second edition larger, broader and more outcome-oriented.

A different kind of immigrant gathering

High-skilled immigrants are often discussed through their visa categories: F-1, OPT, H-1B, O-1 or EB-1A.

Open Atlas Summit approaches them differently – as founders who can create jobs, engineers who can build essential technologies, students with ambitious careers, investors looking for ideas, creators developing new audiences and professionals capable of helping one another advance.

That is what makes this more than another conference. It is an opportunity for people navigating similar challenges to stop operating as isolated individuals and begin acting like a connected professional community.

For international students searching for their first opportunity, professionals planning their next career move, founders seeking capital or collaborators, and immigrants who simply want a stronger network behind them, Open Atlas Summit 2026 is one of the year’s most important rooms to enter.

Registration is available through the official Luma event page.
