Bhubaneswar: Jindal Steel & Power Ltd, which has investment of Rs. 30,000 Crore, spread over in Odisha over including a 6MTPA Steel Plant, 810 MW Power plant, 9 MTPA Pellet Plant has been conferred with Odisha Inc Inclusive Business Award – 2014 for its sustainable social development Projects like Kishori Express on anemia control & Watershed Development programme.
Mr. Dinesh Kumar Saraogi, Executive Director and Location Head of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL), Angul has received the ‘Odisha Inc Best CEO of the Year’ – 2014.
The Awards were presented by Hon’ble Union Tribal Affairs Minister Mr. Jual Oram at Bhubaneswar on November 13, 2014, during the 10th Foundation Day Celebration by leading news portal orissadiary.com. Amongst others, Mr. Ashok Chandra Panda, Hon’ble Tourism and Culture Minister of Odisha, Mr. PK Mahanadia, Eminent Artist and other dignitaries were also present during the programme.
Mr. Saraogi is currently heading the 6 MTPA Steel Project of JSPL at Angul. Under his leadership, JSPL has achieved 1.5 MTPA Capacity with World’s First Coal Gasification Plant (CGP) for steel making, biggest Electric Arc Furnace in India as well as widest plate mill of the country. He also serves as Director in the JSPL’s Board. He has been selected for his excellent leadership and contribution to industrialization in Odisha.
Mr. Naveen Jindal, Chairman, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd has congratulated Mr. D.K. Saraogi for the Odisha Inc CEO Award and all the employees of JSPL, Odisha Business Units for the Odisha Inclusive Business Inc Award 2014.
Receiving the award, Mr. Saraogi said, “I am extremely honoured to have received this award. Engg College, Jabalpur has joined Jindal Group in Nov 1988 and since then has consistently headed various Business Units of JSPL including the Jindal Shadeed Plant at Oman.
In recent past, JSPL, Odisha Units have bagged several coveted awards such as the Golden Peacock CSR Award, GreenTech Platinum Awards on CSR & HR.
