Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh: The Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) has taken a significant step in its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal. The MoU, executed on Tuesday, entails a substantial financial commitment of Rs. 76.56 Crores from NCL, earmarked for the construction of the Institute of Mining Technology in Singrauli.

The signing ceremony witnessed the presence of esteemed individuals, including the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NCL, along with Financial Directors (FDs), the District Collector of Singrauli, officials from the Directorate of Technical Education in Bhopal, and the General Manager (CSR) from NCL.

The Institute of Mining Technology, once completed, will stand as a State Government Autonomous Institute dedicated to offering mining engineering courses. This educational institution is envisioned to cater to the aspirations of youth looking to specialize in mining engineering, aligning with the region’s industrial and economic landscape.
Timely Completion
With the committed financial assistance and collaborative efforts, the Institute of Mining Technology is expected to be fully operational within a span of three years.
