A special Reward & Recognition Programme was organised to honour 73 Shramveers for their skill, dedication, discipline and commitment to safe working practices.
ANUGOLA (India CSR): Chairman of Jindal Steel, Naveen Jindal, joined Shramveers and employees at the Anugola Plant to celebrate Lord Vishwakarma Puja and praised the workforce for their skill, dedication and commitment, which continue to drive the company’s growth and progress.
Jindal was accompanied by V. R. Sharma, Managing Director, Jindal Steel; Rajiv Kumar, COO, Jindal Steel; Damodar Mittal, Executive Director, Anugola; Hridayswar Jha, Executive Director, Special Projects; Sukhjit Singh Pasricha, Group CHRO; Yoga Guru Swami Satyabindu Saraswati and other senior officials.
The celebration began with traditional Vedic rituals at the Plate Mill area, where prayers were offered to Lord Vishwakarma, the Divine Architect, seeking blessings for safety, prosperity and the well-being of employees, their families and the community. Employees, their families, residents of Jindal Nagar and community members participated in the celebrations.
On this occasion, a special Reward & Recognition Programme was organised to honour 73 Shramveers for their skill, dedication, discipline and commitment to safe working practices. The employees were felicitated across three categories: Vishwakarma Ratna (All-Rounder Award), recognising outstanding overall contribution and performance; Safety Champion (Suraksha Shrestha Award), acknowledging exemplary commitment to workplace safety; and Discipline Award (Anushasan Gaurav Award), honouring employees who demonstrated exceptional discipline and adherence to organisational values.
Speaking on the occasion, Naveen Jindal said, “Our Shramveers are the strength behind every achievement at Jindal Steel. Their skill, dedication and commitment have played an important role in our journey of growth. I extend my heartfelt greetings to all our employees and their families and urge everyone to continue upholding the highest standards of safety, quality and excellence in everything we do.”
V. R. Sharma, Managing Director, said, “Safety must remain our foremost priority, because every achievement is meaningful only when our people return home safely to their families. I urge everyone to follow safe work practices and remain vigilant in every task. On this auspicious occasion, I pray to Lord Vishwakarma to bless and guide us in discharging our responsibilities efficiently and achieving our goals together.”
Special pujas were also organised at the Jagannath Temple in Dev Bhoomi, Jindal Nagar, the Naveen Jindal Skill Centre for Advanced Welding Technology, Shramveer Vihar, Precast Plant and several other locations across the plant and township.
The programme was organised by the Human Resources and Administration teams under the guidance of Subhash Chandra, Head – Human Resources, Anugola.
