NEW DELHI: In order to fight the mosquito menace that has gripped the Capital and NCR, LG Electronics India, has collaborated with Smile Foundation to launch ‘Save your family, save the community campaign’ that will make people aware of the problem and take the necessary preventive steps. Smile Foundation is India’s leading Non Governmental Organization. It provides healthcare and education to less privileged children, women and youth.
The campaign will organize health camps to educate the people on how they can overcome the mosquito menace. There will also be events such as fumigation drives and the spraying of insecticides. Pamphlets will be distributed in the camps as well as through a medical setup in a van, called ‘Smile on Wheels’.
The collaboration is a one of a kind CSR initiative by LG to launch preventive healthcare measures and ensure that people are kept safe and sound. LG has pioneered many clutter breaking technologies in the space of consumer electronics that makes consumers believe that Life is Good. The drive will target the urban slums that struggle with health care, but are the ones primarily in need for better health conditions and sanitized hygienic surroundings.
LG is constantly introducing products based on Indian Insights, making them more meaningful for the Indian consumers. LG has developed a range of Mosquito Away TVs and Air conditioners which drives mosquitoes away without emitting any harmful radiations. The technology used in LG Mosquito Away products does not use any chemicals, used in other toxic repellents, nor does it require refilling or any other maintenance and the most important part of the technology is that this independent operation which does not require the TV to be switched on to make the mosquitoes fly away.
