Bhubaneswar– A multi-disciplinary deemed to be university, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and a residential institute for tribal people, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) organized a mega plantation drive with the slogan ‘Go Green; Greater Involvement’.
Over 10,000 employees of KIIT, KISS and Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences participated in the drive and planted saplings in various campuses and other areas of Bhubaneswar as a responsibility to contribute their bit in the ‘Go Green’ initiative, the publication reported.
“Natural beauty had always been an exclusive feature of KIIT & KISS until cyclone ‘Fani’ destroyed the green cover of these two landmark institutions” the publication reported quoting Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS said.
“The initiative was started with a vow to envelope institutions back with greenery and to beautify the landscape of KIIT and Bhubaneswar with well nurtured environment” he further stated.
