“The world is in a precarious situation, with lack of blood supplies afflicting the ones in need. Blood is on constant demand for people suffering from Leukaemia, Thalassemia, Accidents and other blood afflicted diseases. Surprisingly, only 4 out of 100 people donate blood willingly, giving rise to an acute shortage of blood. Blood donation is a healthy practise as it not only reduces the chance of any pulmonary-related disease but also reduces the chances of Cancer. This is our earnest endeavour to maintain the fragile balance of nature before the children of the future grow up seeing a healthier world. The belief that an everyday person can be a hero has been enshrined in KARAM’s vision for a better world and this camp is a humble contribution to that”, says Kavita Nigam, General Manager, HR, publicity and promotion.
