NEW DELHI: Jaipur Rugs Company Private Limited was felicitated for its initiative ‘Artisan Originals’ at a forum took place in Delhi. The Artisan Original is a sustainable initiative of The Weaver Design Project by Jaipur Rugs which taps into the untamed fashion from the villages of India. It experiments with the originality of rural craftspeople and nurtures their creative potential which remains unexplored at a global stage.
The award was conferred for the contribution towards the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
The event was attended by distinguished gathering including various government officials, industry members and eminent personalities from the various fields.
Expressing his views on the award Founder and CMD of Jaipur Rugs, Nand Kishore Chaudhary said, “We are honored to have received the award which is a gratification for our commitment to ethical carpet making and continuous upliftment of our artisans. Through Jaipur Rugs Foundation we seek to establish Jaipur Rugs as a consumer brand that would work towards the betterment of weavers, so that weavers are respected and given due credit for their work.”
