NGOBox’s actions are deeply unethical, as they have used the ‘India CSR’ brand name without permission to promote their event, misleading stakeholders and participants.
NEW DELHI (India CSR): Founded in 2009, India CSR, a leading media group in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices in India, has issued a strong condemnation of the unauthorized and unethical use of its brand by NGOBox in the promotion of their upcoming summit. The event, scheduled for October 17 and 18 in New Delhi, has come under scrutiny for misrepresenting an association with India CSR without prior consent.
Every day, thousands of readers visit India CSR for the latest updates on Corporate Social Responsibility. The India CSR brand is widely recognized and respected among CSR professionals across India.
India CSR has organized over 100 CSR forums under its brand name, making a significant impact in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility.
Misuse of Brand Identity Raises Concerns
The issue came to light as NGOBox began promoting the “11th India CSR and ESG Summit” with claims and representations that implied a partnership or endorsement from India CSR. This move, according to India CSR, is misleading and could create confusion among stakeholders, partners, and participants who trust the India CSR brand for its credibility and adherence to ethical standards.
India CSR said, “It is truly surprising that NGOBox, which presents itself as an event organizer, lacks basic understanding of CSR principles. They seem unaware of how unethical it is to organize an event by imitating someone else’s brand name. This act reflects a disregard for the fundamental ethics of the CSR sector, raising concerns about their integrity and commitment to fair practices.”
India CSR, expressed his disappointment, stating, “We have built a reputation over years of dedication to transparency and accountability in the CSR sector. The misuse of our brand not only undermines our values but also misguides the broader community that looks up to India CSR for authentic and credible information.”
India CSR has played a crucial role in advocating for Corporate Social Responsibility in India since the inception of the CSR law, guiding the sector’s growth and fostering best practices.
Call for Rectification and Ethical Accountability
India CSR has called on NGOBox to immediately cease any activities that falsely imply a partnership or association with India CSR. They urge the organizers to rectify their promotional materials and to refrain from using India CSR’s name without authorization in any future initiatives.
The organization highlighted the importance of ethical practices within the CSR community, emphasizing that integrity and transparency are the foundation upon which the sector operates. “Unethical practices like these not only damage reputations but also erode the trust that the CSR community and stakeholders place in organizations that promote social and environmental well-being,” Rusen Kumar added.
Protecting the Integrity of the CSR Community
India CSR has reassured its stakeholders that it remains committed to protecting the integrity of the CSR ecosystem. It called on all participants, partners, and stakeholders to verify the authenticity of events and collaborations, ensuring they align with the values and principles that India CSR upholds.
The organization is also considering legal action to prevent further misuse of its brand and to protect its reputation as a leading authority in the field of CSR and ESG practices in India.
A Legacy of Trust and Transparency
Since its inception, India CSR has been a trusted platform for disseminating information, insights, and knowledge on CSR and ESG initiatives. It has consistently advocated for ethical practices in the sector, supporting initiatives that drive genuine social impact. The organization’s leadership in this field has made it a go-to resource for CSR professionals, policymakers, and businesses across the country.
India CSR’s stand against the unethical actions of NGOBox serves as a reminder to the entire sector that maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity is essential for the growth and credibility of CSR and ESG practices in India. The organization remains steadfast in its mission to promote a culture of transparency and accountability, ensuring that the true essence of CSR is upheld.
Prominent Leaders Participating in Unethical CSR Event in India: A Growing Concern
The below-mentioned leaders and esteemed speakers, who play a crucial role in the field of CSR and ESG in India, are participating in an event that fails to meet ethical standards. This event, organized by NGOBox, is using the name ‘India CSR’ without authorization, which is clearly an improper and unlawful imitation of the brand name.
The situation becomes even more concerning as these leaders and experts, who themselves advocate for social responsibility and transparency, are participating in this event despite being aware that ‘India CSR‘ is a distinct and respected brand. Their involvement in such an event raises serious questions about their commitment to ethical practices and creates confusion within the entire CSR community. Such incidents not only harm the brand’s credibility but also put a question mark on the commitment to transparency and trust within the CSR sector.
