CSR partnership strengthens education access, digital learning, disability mobility, skill centre connectivity, and inclusion in Delhi and Mumbai
NEW DELHI (India CSR): IIFL Home Finance, an affordable housing finance company in India, has partnered with Salaam Baalak Trust and Swayam Siddha to support more than 600 children through the School on Wheels programme in Delhi and improve mobility access for persons with disabilities in Maharashtra.
The CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives were announced on 15 June 2026. They focus on education access, digital learning, mobility support, skill development, and community outreach.
Mobile Classroom For Children
As part of its CSR programme, IIFL Home Finance has supported Salaam Baalak Trust’s School on Wheels initiative in Delhi. The company handed over a fully equipped mobile education bus at Salaam Baalak Trust’s Tis Hazari Centre.
The bus will serve children in underserved communities of East Delhi. It is designed to bring learning facilities closer to children who may face barriers in accessing regular education support.
Digital Learning Access
The air-conditioned bus is equipped with digital learning facilities and internet connectivity. According to the company, the facility is expected to create a more engaging learning environment for children.
The initiative is expected to directly benefit more than 600 children and their families through improved educational access and community outreach.
Mobility Support In Maharashtra
IIFL Home Finance has also partnered with Swayam Siddha Industrial Co-operative Society for the Handicapped Ltd. to support persons with disabilities in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
The company facilitated a wheelchair-accessible Tata Magic vehicle and two EV scooters at Swayam Siddha’s Rabale Centre in Navi Mumbai.
The vehicles are intended to help beneficiaries access skill development centres, employment opportunities, and essential services. The initiative supports the broader need for accessible infrastructure for persons with disabilities.
Inclusion As A Conviction
Speaking on the initiatives, Aarti Marwaha Upadhyay, Chief Human Resource Officer, IIFL Home Finance, said, “Inclusion is not a programme for us, it is a conviction. When a child in East Delhi steps onto a mobile classroom, or a person with disability in Mumbai can independently access a skill centre or a job, something fundamental changes in their world. Our partnerships with Salaam Baalak Trust and Swayam Siddha are rooted in that belief that finance can be a force for equity, and that the communities we serve deserve more than access to housing alone.”
Focus On Community Development
The company said the initiatives reflect its focus on vulnerable communities through targeted CSR interventions in education, accessibility, skill development, and community welfare.
By working with grassroots organisations, IIFL Home Finance is supporting programmes that address practical barriers faced by children and persons with disabilities in urban communities.
