The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the entire world to a standstill. Every person has been affected in some way or the other. Though, some people have suffered a worse fate than many.

But in these grim times, several brands have stepped forward and are using their influence and resources in order to help the people who have suffered the most because of the ongoing pandemic. Some of the brands who have managed to help people during this dark hour include:

Ninjacart

Ninjacart is using technology and analytics to source fresh fruits and vegetables directly from farmers and is supplying it to local businesses and households across various states in order to tackle the shortage and avoid panic buying.

Not just that, the startup is also providing food to a number of orphanages and old-age homes to ensure that they don’t run out of it. They are supplying an astonishing 1400 tonnes of fruits and vegetables to various locations each day.

Toppeq

Toppeq has mobilized funds and is using them to provide migrant workers stuck in several states with food and hygiene kits. Each of the kits that they are supplying to stranded workers consists of 1 kg of onion and potato each along with two kgs of rice and dal and a litre of cooking oil.

The hygiene kit consists of soap, toothpaste, and other daily necessities. Toppeq aims to continue this activity until the lockdown is over and all migrant workers have managed to reach their homes.

Droom

Droom, under Droom Health, has developed a germ-shield technology that has proven to be effective against SARS for up to a period of 3 months. Droom is using its Germ-shield technology to sanitize all the vehicles currently being used by the Gurugram police.

Not just that, the company is also providing the germ-shield services to a number of schools, offices, hotels and residential areas.

Gaia

Gaia provides its users with nutritional supplements along with several other health and wellness products. Since the lockdown was announced, the company has been helping its customers by providing its healthy food options and other health products right to their doorstep all over the country.

In order to limit physical contact between their employees and customers, they have also provided consumers with a notion to choose cashless payment options.

PharmEasy

PharmEasy is an online healthcare platform that delivers medicines and healthcare essentials to the doorstep of the customers. During the lockdown, when it was difficult for people to go out and get access to important medication, PharmEasy ensured that no one suffered because of lack of medicines.

In spite of the lockdown restrictions, it has managed to run its operations in the smoothest way possible to help its customers. Not just that, the company’s site has been a huge source of information for people about the ongoing pandemic.

Stanza Living

Stanza Living has joined hands with local police forces in the cities of Pune, Bangalore, Delhi, Indore, and Hyderabad in order to ensure that anyone who is stranded in these cities and is unable to get access to proper food is able to get a meal.

The massive food drive initiated by the company has managed to supply 5000 meals every week to the ones who are worst affected by the lockdown.

InCred

InCred has made the best use of its presence on social media platforms by launching a donation drive #InCredforHumanity. Through this campaign, it aims to raise funds and help as many daily wage workers as they can.

It has also partnered with Art of living and the NGO, Goonj, to help provide food supplies to daily wage earners whose income has been hit hard by the lockdown.

Hungerbox

To ensure that daily wage earners and their families living in the slums of Bangalore and Hyderabad are able to get access to proper hygienic food at a time when their income has been reduced to zero, HungerBox has joined hands with Feed Bangalore.

Each day, fresh meals are being prepared in the kitchens of the company’s partners and are being supplied to those that need the meals to survive.

Now it’s your turn!
