UDAIPUR: Hindustan Zinc’s Zinc Smelter Debari (ZSD) has been honoured with the prestigious ICC Environment Excellence Award 2020 for displaying an excellent commitment towards environment management. The award was presented to Hindustan Zinc at the 14th ICC Environment Excellence Award in a virtual ceremony.

Zinc Smelter Debari has undertaken a unique initiative by running an intensive plantation campaign – ‘Van-Mahotsav‘ wherein its community including women, farmers and self-help groups pledged to plant more than 7500 plants in their area.
The ICC Environment Excellence Award is one of the most coveted recognition that is awarded to an organisation for excellent environment management by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC). It also acknowledges their commitment towards the social well-being of the people and the planet and offers a great platform to spread environmental awareness as well as motivate organisations towards sustainable development.
