VADODRA: The first Gujarat CSR Summit 2015, to be held here on June 2, will provide a platform for organisations across the industry for in-depth understanding of rules and regulations pertaining to the Companies Act, organizers said.
It will deliberate on how the amendments in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) article can be integrated with the business strategies and positively impact both organisational and economic growth & development, they said.
“About 150 industries over 100 NGOs and several farmers will participate in the event” CSR Summit president Priti Nashikkar told.
They will discuss and chalk out strategy as to how CSR fund of Rs 2,200 crore of the industries located in Gujarat can be used for spending on various activities and lessen the burden on the state government, she said.
Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industries president Rohit Shah has been invited as the guest speaker at the event.
With the passing of the new Companies Act by the government, CSR has emerged as key ingredient of doing business for Indian companies.
This summit will deliberate on understanding the new CSR Policy, summit chairperson Sandip Sakpal said.
