BHUBANESWAR: In line with the Company’s policy to serve the local community, the Aditya Birla Group Company Grasim Chemicals in Ganjam district, Odisha, has organized a Blood Donation Camp in association with Lions Club at the premises of PHC (Primary Health Centre) of Ganjam.
Shashank Pareek, Unit Head of Grasim Chemicals, Ganjam Unit inaugurated the Camp. As many as 51 people came forward for this noble cause and donated blood enthusiastically.
While encouraging the Donors, Pareek said that as a responsible corporate citizen we are undertaking a number of CSR activities and it is one of them. He also said that there is no laboratory that manufactures blood. Hence, voluntary donation is the only way of accumulating blood to meet emergency requirements for saving lives of those who are in real need, Pareek added.
In this camp the Doctor of Ganjam PHC Swastik Acharya and staff nurse J. Mirabai Reddy also donated blood. Among others Ashan Kumar singh (Sr. VP), R. D. Sao (V.P. Operation), K.G. Ganeriwal (Head HR/IR/Administration), R.D. Sarda (V.P. commercial), Mr Pramod kumar Panda (Sr Manager, Liasioning & Cabinet Member Lions Club) Nandan Mehandale (Manager Personal/Administration) and Sushanta Das (Asst. CSR) of Grasim Chemicals and B. K. Pathak (President Lions Club), Harihara Patra (Treasurer Lions club) from the Lions Club were present in the camp and encouraged the donors.
