VISAKHAPATNAM: Gangavaram Port is committed to assist initiatives towards improving health and sanitation of rural public and in particular towards providing bio-toilets and drinking water facilities to Govt. Girls Schools in rural areas of Visakhapatnam District.
Gangavaram Port has now made a contribution of Rs.12.5 Lakhs for construction of bio-toilets and setting up of RO facilities for providing drinking water at ZP school for Girls in Visakhapatnam District.
The contribution is made through Social Awareness Newer Alternatives (SANA foundation), an NGO identified by district administration of Visakhapatnam.
A cheque for Rs. 12.5 Lakhs was handed over to Dist. Collector, Visakhapatnam by Vice President (Liaison) L.P.S. Ramu Naidu on 27.12.2017 for this purpose.
