Every year, Finolex Industries Limited (FIL) makes a notable contribution during the palakhi procession. This year, FIL gave away a total of 56,000 strong and durable bags for the assisting the long and arduous journey of the pilgrims. We will also be distributing nutritious rajgira ladoos to the warkaris at various stages of their journey. They will help to boost their energy and keep them in high spirits.
On this special occasion, Nitin Kulkarni, President, Sales and Marketing, Finolex Industries Ltd. said, “Finolex Industries has been close to the people at grassroots level. We take pride in the diversity of India and its various festival. We have always come out openly to support the people and their various celebrations. Over the years, we have developed a special relationship with the warkaris.”

This also enables us to reach to a larger audience together on a same platform. This year we are also going to be the sole sponsor of the All India Radio (AIR) commentary of the procession. The AIR studio will actually be in the van going along the route with the pilgrims. This way the listeners will get on the spot commentary of the wari.”
Medical camps have been organized at various points along the route. Teams of doctors from Sassoon General Hospital, Pune will cater to the medical needs of the warkaris. In addition, we have deployed a medical van which will be operating on the entire wari route, to provide other medical treatment for fever, dehydration, weakness, allergies, indigestion etc.
