New Delhi – India’s largest manufacturer of PVC pipes and fittings, Finolex Industries Limited (FIL), along with its CSR partner Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF), supports the Pandharpur pilgrims through distribution of durable bags and provision of medical facilities.
FIL and MMF conducted medical camps at 13 locations for three palkhis, namely Sant Dynaeshwar, Sant Tukaram and Sant Sopankaka for over 30 days of the pilgrimage where almost 25,000 people were benefitted.
The company distributed around 200,000 waterproof bags, 100,000 haripath, 25,000 kunchis and 10,000 Gandhi caps for the pilgrims.
The camps provided medical vans and treatment for fever, headache, injuries, indigestion, allergies, dehydration and problems related to eyes & ears.
“Shelters at three pit stops in the way to the shrine will give pilgrims a chance to rest and rejuvenate before embarking their journey”, Nitin Kulkarni , President, Sales and Marketing , FIL said.
The medical camps included doctors and nurses from sassoon hospital, who catered medical needs of the warkaris with the provision of zip lock pouches containing basic drugs, glucose packs and first aid items.
