Chennai-headquartered Elite Elevators details the AI, biometric, and accessibility features of the X300 MK II. Additionally, the X300 MK II is designed specifically for households with elderly parents and wheelchair users.

CHENNAI, INDIA: Smart home elevators are usually sold on convenience. Elite Elevators has set out the case for judging them on something else: whether the technology makes the lift usable by the people who need it most.

The company’s X300 MK II Plus combines AI-powered home mobility with biometric access and cabin monitoring. For a household of able-bodied adults, these are conveniences. For an elderly parent or a wheelchair user, they can decide whether the lift can be used independently at all, which is why the company positions AI as part of its home mobility solutions rather than as a luxury feature on its residential elevators.

What Makes an Elevator Smart Rather Than Simply Automated?

Most lifts described as smart offer a touchscreen and a mobile app. Genuine smart elevator technology goes further in three ways, and AI elevator technology accounts for two of them.

Elite AI. The lift learns how a household moves between floors and responds to voice or touch, predicting the intended destination rather than requiring a floor selection on every trip. This feature is voice control, not voice announcement. The distinction matters, because only one of them removes the need to reach a panel.

Biometric access. A fingerprint selects a resident’s floor automatically, with PIN and biometric restrictions available to lock specific levels.

Predictive fault reporting. Dynamic ENS performs real-time fault detection and alerts the service team, so developing issues are addressed before they become breakdowns. It is the least discussed smart feature and arguably the most useful.

Alongside these, a 21-inch interactive display handles ride management, weather, and news, while a mobile app controls lighting, fan speed, door timing, and custom voice announcements that residents record themselves.

How Do AI-Powered Home Elevators Help Elderly Residents?

Four features matter in elderly-friendly home elevators, and none of them is about speed. Among mobility solutions for elderly residents, home elevators for elderly parents are increasingly specified before they are needed rather than after a fall.

Voice control removes small buttons and floor numbers from the equation entirely. Auto re-levelling stops the cabin flush with the floor on every trip, removing the lip that causes trips at entry and exit. Comfort mode holds the doors open longer and keeps cabin lighting on, so nobody is hurried. And EGSS’s gentle start-and-stop technology eliminates the jolt that unsteady passengers find most unsettling.

The in-cabin GSM phone runs on the lift’s own battery, which means an elderly resident using the lift alone can reach help even when the house has no electricity and no internet.

What Makes These Elevators Wheelchair-Friendly?

Wheelchair-friendly home elevators are decided by dimensions and doors, not by feature lists. Among home accessibility solutions, home elevators for wheelchair users succeed or fail on two measurements.

The X300 MK II Plus offers an XL cabin of 1,500 × 1,500 mm, giving room to enter, turn, and exit rather than reversing out onto a landing. Rated at 440 kg, it carries an occupied wheelchair with an attendant. Automatic sliding doors open and close under the lift’s control, so a user does not need a free hand while manoeuvring the single most common barrier to independent use.

Combined with voice control and biometric floor selection, a wheelchair user may never need to reach a control panel at all. That is what separates accessible smart home elevators from lifts that merely accommodate a wheelchair.

Families specifying a lift for a wheelchair user should measure the chair at its widest point, including any joystick controller, and request internal cabin dimensions and clear door opening width in writing for the specific model quoted.

What Happens During a Power Cut?

Every model includes an Automatic Rescue Device that switches to battery, moves the cabin to the nearest floor, and opens the doors. Emergency cabin lighting runs on independent battery supply, and an in-cabin GSM phone powered by the lift’s own battery connects to support even when the house has no electricity or internet.

Live SOS 2.0 alerts both the household’s emergency contacts and the technical support team at a single touch. All of it operates independently of the home’s power and internet.

Which Certifications Apply?

The X300 range holds EU Type Examination certificates to EN 81-20 and EN 81-50, the European standards applied to passenger lifts, issued by Liftinstituut, the Netherlands-based notified body.

Additional protections on the X300 range include dual overspeed governors monitoring cabin movement in both directions, phase voltage protection, real-time belt monitoring, and a cabin that runs with no AC power inside at all.

Why Do Families Choose Elite Elevators?

Elite Elevators is headquartered in Chennai, with engineering, sales, and service teams based in the city rather than routed through dealers. More than 3,000 happy customers across India use its lifts.

Four things distinguish the company’s approach to residential elevators.

The company focuses on engineering solutions tailored to individual homes rather than relying on standard catalogues. Lifts are custom-engineered to the dimensions of the house, with structural intervention kept to a minimum. No model requires a machine room, and pit depths on the X300 range run to just 59 mm when installed with the self-supporting Xshaft.

Installation without disruption. The installation process takes two to three weeks on a prepared site, with work generally limited to cutting floor openings and preparing a level base, allowing most households to continue living in their homes throughout this period.

Customisation is included rather than charged for. Cabin wall, ceiling, and floor finishes come as standard, with 16 RAL colour options on the X300 range in standard, metallic, and textured finishes, four ceiling designs, and colour-matched doors and cabins. Where no standard configuration fits, BeSpoke by Elite Elevators builds to the home’s own dimensions.

Service by the manufacturer. Elite Elevators services its own installations through a nationwide network rather than subcontracted agents, with Annual Maintenance Contracts and on-demand assistance for the life of the lift.

Where Can You See AI-Powered Home Elevators in India?

The X300 MK II Plus serves up to six stops with travel heights of up to 21,000 mm and speeds of up to 1.0 m/s. With a 59 mm pit requirement when installed with the self-supporting X shaft, it needs no machine room and can typically be installed within two to three weeks.

Advanced home elevator technology is difficult to judge from a brochure, so families are encouraged to try the lift before deciding. Elite Elevators Experience Centres allow visitors to speak to the lift, ride it, and judge the cabin for size, particularly worthwhile where a wheelchair is involved. A complimentary site assessment confirms what a specific home can accommodate. Installations are supported across Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi NCR, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad, and Kochi.
