GURUGRAM: ELANPRO, India’s leading commercial refrigeration company, has donated an ambulance to Earth Saviours Foundation, a non-profit working for the care of abandoned and disabled old people.
The ambulance was flagged off today by Shashank Joshi, Director, Elanpro in presence of Ravi Kalra, Earth Saviours Foundation.
As a part of their community service programme, ELANPRO has been supporting a wide range of socio-economic initiatives in various thrust areas including health and medical care for old apart from education and opportunities for young. The flagging off / inauguration of the ambulance is an important step for the company in its commitment towards development of healthcare for the underprivileged.
Speaking at occasion, Shashank Joshi, Director, Elanpro said, “Earth Saviours faces many difficulties and challenges whilst caring for the Elderly residents on a daily basis. It is time for a well- coordinated approach to fill in the gaps in the elderly care.”
Applauding the work done by the Foundation, Joshi added, “A total co-ordination is imperative for ensuring that the needy is safely transported to the nearest medical care facility. We are happy to be able to collaborate with this NGO which provides committed daily support to the most disadvantaged population. We hope that the ambulance will facilitate the Earth Saviours aim for better health care and improved emergency service.”
Ravi Kalra, Earth Saviours Foundation said, “We would like to thank Elanpro for helping us in our quest to provide a better living to the people of Earth Saviours. Transporting the sick people was a major challenge faced by our NGO. With this ambulance, we will have round the clock facility for transporting patients to different hospitals during emergencies.”
ELANPRO has always been on the forefront in rendering its services to the cause of the society – be it education to underprivileged or the undertaking of programmes for the benefit of the community based on local needs. The company aims at strengthening various sections of the society through its CSR initiatives.
The operations and maintenance of these ambulances will be looked after by the Earth Saviour Foundation. Earth Saviours Foundation was established in 2008 by Mr. Ravi Kalra, with the aim of providing support and care to the abandoned senior citizens. The Ngo has a rescue center to look after mentally disabled people and female shelter home to look after deprived females.
