With over 25 years of national and international experience, Dr. Aishwarya Mahajan has been recognised for his contribution to CSR, inclusive development, education, livelihood promotion and community-led social transformation.
BHILAI, Chhattisgarh (India CSR): Dr. Aishwarya Mahajan, Managing Trustee and President, M3M Foundation, was honoured with the India CSR Person of the Year Award 2026 at the 18th India CSR Leadership Summit 2026, held on 9 May 2026 at Rungta International Skills University, Bhilai. The summit was organised around the theme โCSR, Sustainability and ESG for Viksit Bharat 2047.โ
The award was presented by Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, Father of Indian CSR and Sustainability, Chairman, National Sustainability Reporting and Disclosure Standards Committee, Bureau of Indian Standards; in the presence of Dr. Jawahar Surisetti, Vice Chancellor, Rungta International Skills University; Santosh Rungta, Chancellor, Rungta International Skills University; and Rusen Kumar, Founder and Editor, India CSR, at Rungta College Campus, Bhilai.
Dr. Mahajan was recognised for his outstanding contribution to Indiaโs CSR and social development ecosystem. With a Doctorate in Sociology and over 25 years of national and international experience, he has played a significant role in designing and driving impactful development initiatives across education, livelihood promotion, behavioural change, inclusive growth and community empowerment.
Under his leadership, M3M Foundation has emerged as a strong force in community development, working across education, health, livelihoods, sports, environment, disaster response and empowerment of underserved communities. The Foundationโs programmes have focused on measurable impact, government collaboration and long-term social transformation.
Dr. Mahajan has been associated with several high-impact interventions aimed at empowering marginalised communities. M3M Foundationโs work has included skilling youth, supporting foundational literacy and numeracy, strengthening grassroots livelihoods, promoting sports, and enabling community-led development. The Foundation has also worked with farmers in remote regions, including Ladakh and Spiti, supporting value addition and livelihood strengthening.
His professional journey reflects a strong blend of grassroots understanding and global development exposure. Over the years, Dr. Mahajan has worked closely with UN bodies, international development organisations, CSR and philanthropic foundations, and government institutions to co-create sustainable and community-owned models of development. His work has extended across more than a dozen countries, including India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Vietnam, Benin, Togo, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, France and Switzerland.
As the Managing Trustee and President of M3M Foundation, the philanthropic arm of M3M Group, Dr. Mahajan leads the strategic direction of key programmes focused on education, healthcare, environment, sports, skill development and entrepreneurship. Under his leadership, the Foundation has worked to empower individuals and communities at scale through programmes rooted in collaboration, innovation and empathy.
His development experiences have also been shared at global knowledge platforms, including the University of Jyvaskyla, Finland; Connecticut University, USA; and Emlyon Business School, France. These engagements reflect his wider contribution to international conversations on inclusive development, social innovation and sustainable change.
