Company Allocates ₹4.37 Crore for Education, Health, Nutrition and Community Development
NEW DELHI (India CSR): Dodla Dairy Limited continued its commitment to responsible business and inclusive community development during FY 2025–26. The company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities were aligned with its values of trust, transparency, farmer engagement and long-term social impact.
For the financial year 2025–26, Dodla Dairy’s total CSR obligation stood at Rs. 4.37 crore. The company spent Rs. 2.20 crore during the year on approved CSR projects and transferred Rs. 2.17 crore to the Unspent CSR Account as required under Section 135(6) of the Companies Act, 2013. The unspent amount was linked to approved ongoing projects where fund requests were not received during the year.
Dodla Dairy’s CSR approach covered education, skill development, health, nutrition, women’s safety, environmental sustainability, sports, animal welfare and farmer empowerment. These interventions reflect the company’s close relationship with rural communities, farmers, students, children and vulnerable groups.
CSR Policy and Governance
Dodla Dairy has adopted a CSR Policy in line with its role as a socially, economically and environmentally responsible corporate citizen. The policy provides the framework for selecting, implementing and monitoring CSR activities. It also guides the formulation of the annual CSR action plan.
The CSR Committee of the company was chaired by Dodla Sesha Reddy, Chairman and Non-Executive Director. Akshay Tanna, Non-Executive Director, and Vinoda Kailas, Independent Director, served as members of the committee. During the year, the CSR Committee held two meetings, on 19 May 2025 and 27 January 2026.
The company stated that impact assessment was not applicable for FY 2025–26.
CSR Obligation for FY 2025–26
Dodla Dairy calculated its CSR obligation based on the average net profit of the preceding three financial years. The average net profit was Rs. 218.46 crore. Two percent of this amount worked out to Rs. 4.37 crore.
There was no surplus from previous CSR projects. There was also no amount required to be set off for the financial year. Therefore, the total CSR obligation for FY 2025–26 remained Rs. 4.37 crore.
The company spent Rs. 2.20 crore during the year. No amount was spent on administrative overheads or impact assessment. The remaining Rs. 2.17 crore was transferred to the Unspent CSR Account on 22 April 2026.
Ongoing CSR Projects
A major part of Dodla Dairy’s CSR plan was directed toward ongoing projects. The total allocation for ongoing projects was Rs. 3.94 crore. Out of this, Rs. 1.77 crore was spent during the year, while Rs. 2.17 crore was transferred to the Unspent CSR Account.
The first major ongoing project was the construction of a library, seminar hall and classrooms at the College of Dairy Technology, Kamareddy, Telangana. This project falls under the category of promoting education. The company allocated Rs. 2.28 crore for the project and spent Rs. 1.77 crore during FY 2025–26. The balance amount of Rs. 51.08 lakh was transferred to the Unspent CSR Account.
The second ongoing project was the construction of the Hostel West Block at Mahumudapuram village in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. This project was also classified under promoting education. The allocation for the project was Rs. 69.22 lakh. No amount was spent during the year, and the full amount was transferred to the Unspent CSR Account.
The third ongoing project focused on animal welfare and empowerment of the farming community. It covered Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra. The project was linked to rural development, animal welfare and livelihood enhancement. The company allocated Rs. 96.99 lakh for this project. No amount was spent during the year, and the entire amount was transferred to the Unspent CSR Account.
Other CSR Projects During the Year
Dodla Dairy also implemented several non-ongoing CSR projects during FY 2025–26. These projects together accounted for Rs. 42.57 lakh.
Under education and skill development, the company supported Viswahitha Seva Trust in Hyderabad with Rs. 3.60 lakh. It also spent Rs. 5.00 lakh on road safety awareness in Hyderabad. These initiatives supported learning, awareness and public safety.
For women’s safety, the company spent Rs. 1.79 lakh on CCTV installation in Yellapur, Uttara Kannada, Karnataka. This initiative was linked to promoting gender equality and empowering women.
In the health and sanitation category, Dodla Dairy spent Rs. 2.18 lakh on transport support for differently-abled persons in Karnataka. It also supported REACH’s tuberculosis care and elimination initiative in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, with Rs. 7.50 lakh.
The company spent Rs. 1.50 lakh on a drinking water plant at Ramapuram School. This initiative addressed education, healthcare, sanitation and environmental sustainability by improving access to clean drinking water.
Nutrition was another important area. Dodla Dairy spent Rs. 10.00 lakh on Project Krushi – Milk for Children in Medchal–Malkajgiri, Telangana. The project was linked to eradicating hunger, poverty and malnutrition.
In sports, the company supported Paralympic athlete Ms. Vijaya Deepika with Rs. 5.00 lakh. This initiative promoted Paralympic and Olympic sports.
Dodla Dairy also spent Rs. 6.00 lakh on the restoration of the Adikmet Road Stepwell in Hyderabad. This project supported environmental sustainability and heritage-linked water conservation.
Beneficiaries and Social Reach
Dodla Dairy’s BRSR disclosure stated that the company spent Rs. 5.10 crore during FY 2025–26 on various CSR projects in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. This included Rs. 2.20 crore from the current year’s allocation, Rs. 2.88 crore from the unspent amount of FY 2024–25 and Rs. 2.11 lakh from the unspent amount of FY 2023–24.
The company reported beneficiaries across multiple CSR categories. Education projects benefited more than 560 persons. Healthcare projects benefited 106 persons. Nutrition-related work under eradicating hunger, poverty and malnutrition benefited 120 plus 100 persons. Transport support benefited two differently-abled persons. Support to a Paralympic athlete benefited one person. In these disclosed categories, 100% of beneficiaries were from vulnerable and marginalised groups.
Reason for Unspent CSR Amount
Dodla Dairy clarified that certain approved projects did not receive fund requests during the year. These included the construction of a library, seminar hall and classrooms at the College of Dairy Technology, Kamareddy; the construction of the Hostel West Block at Mahumudapuram village, Nellore; and initiatives for animal welfare and empowerment of the farming community.
As a result, the company did not release funds for these projects beyond the amounts already stated. The unspent amount was transferred to the Unspent CSR Account in accordance with the Companies Act.
No Capital Assets Created
The company reported that no capital assets were created or acquired through CSR amount spent during FY 2025–26.
A CSR Model Linked to Farmers and Communities
Dodla Dairy’s CSR work reflects the nature of its business. As a dairy company with a strong farmer network, the company’s community investments are closely connected with rural development, animal welfare, nutrition and education.
Its education projects support students and institutions. Its nutrition work supports children. Its health projects address tuberculosis care, sanitation and support for differently-abled persons. Its environmental work supports water conservation and heritage restoration. Its farmer-focused projects strengthen the ecosystem that supports the dairy value chain.
