GURGAON : Taking a step forward in its health and wellness initiatives DLF Foundation inaugurated its two wellness centre at DLF City Phase 1 and Phase 2 today. The inauguration took place at the wellness centre of DLF Phase 1. The centres are first of its kind in the entire DLF City; they are being run on rooftop solar panels.
Both the centres are specifically designed to be progressive, environment-friendly and sustainable for years to come. The centres will be managed by ICICI Lombard and is open to general public and will provide free consultation services.
The centres were inaugurated by Rohit Malik, Director, DEDL along with Sudhir Kapoor, Secretary General, DLF City RWA. Lt. General Rajender Singh, CEO, DLF Foundation, Ritesh Sinha, Associate Director, DLF Foundation, P.K Joseph, Associate Director, DLF Foundation Jaideep Goel, Vice-President ICICI Lombard, T. Raza, President, RWA Silver Oak Apartment along with the senior officials of ICICI Lombard and DLF Foundation was also part of the inaugural.
The wellness centres are aimed to serve huge number of maids, domestic helpers and construction laborers working in and around the DLF City. This will also benefit around 25,000 people living in the nearby villages like Chakarpur, Nathupur etc. The centre has experienced gynecologists and physicians and special maternal care programme to cater to the women of the society. The wellness centres will start its operation from today itself and will operate 6 days a week.
Wellness centre will provide Followings:
Maternal Care Programme which includes Ante – Natal Checkups, Post Natal Checkups and counseling sessions of maternal anemia and providing iron and folic tablets, Counseling sessions for the pregnant women on their diet plans, centre will also host monthly specialty camps like dental checkup, audiometry-check up, healthy heart, vaccination drives.
There are total 35 basic lab tests that the centre will offer including Sugar Glucose Test, LFT (Albumin, Alkaline, Direct Bilirubin, and Indirect Bilirubin), KFT (Creatinine, Urea, Uric acid, BUN and EGFR), Hematology (Hemoglobin, RBC, PCV, MCV, MCH and MCHC), Lipid Profile (Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Triglyceride and LDL Calculative) and Electrolytes (Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Calcium, Phosphorous and magnesium).
The Wellness Centres are equipped with the best infrastructure, medical equipments and team of physicians and gynecologists to serve the patients. The centres are being run entirely on roof-top solar panels of 5KVA which will provide electricity to the centres.
Speaking on the occasion Rohit Malik, Director, DEDL said, “This health care initiative will be well received by the people, this will be a boon for the support staff of our residents. This was something required and demanded by our residents. I would request the residents to create a general awareness of this health centre and make it successful”
“I consider this one of the most significant initiative. This will solve the major problem of our support staff and domestic helpers, which is the costing of medical treatments. We will inform all our residents about the wellness centres through our internal communication system so that they can communicate it to their support staffs and they can prevail theses services” said Sudhir Kapoor, Secretary General DLF City RWA.
“This project is a part of the Urban Underprivileged Development Program that has been introduced last year where we are trying to work on issues related to heath, education, sanitation, drinking water, cleanliness. We have introduced this first wellness centres in DLF City first and plans to cover the entire city of Gurgaon including the villages around Gurgaon.
These centres are focused to serve the weaker section of the society and we will maintain quality and standard in the centres, therefore the residents are also welcome” said Ritesh Sinha, Associate Director, DLF Foundation.
