Panaji, Goa (India CSR): Flipkart, in partnership with the Goa State Rural Livelihood Mission (GSRLM), has launched a transformative initiative to empower women entrepreneurs from self-help groups (SHGs). The collaboration will enable these women to showcase and sell their handcrafted products on Flipkart’s online marketplace.

At the launch event, Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant emphasized the importance of this initiative in realizing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Lakhpati Didi mission. He said, “This is the most opportune moment to turn women into leaders of self-reliance. With Flipkart’s support, products from Goa’s self-help groups can reach global markets, fulfilling our shared vision of a developed India.”
Dr. Sawant added that such initiatives are instrumental in empowering women and helping them contribute meaningfully to the nation’s economic growth.

Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Flipkart Group, reiterated the company’s dedication to uplifting local talent through its Flipkart Samarth initiative. He said, “We are committed to providing a global platform for local entrepreneurs. By equipping women with essential tools and knowledge, workshops like these unlock their full potential. They can now showcase their skills and unique products to millions across the country and beyond.”

At the event, Gopal A. Parsekar, Project Director of GSRLM, shared details about the various schemes available to women SHGs in Goa. The Flipkart team conducted hands-on training sessions, teaching women entrepreneurs the essential skills needed to market and sell their products online.
Women participants expressed their excitement and gratitude, sharing how the initiative has opened new opportunities for growth and financial independence.
