106 Youths of Hindustan Zinc’s Zinc Kaushal program received placements at prestigious organizations in various fields like Food & Beverages, Customer relationship management, Security
Udaipur (India CSR): Hindustan Zinc under its Zinc Kaushal Kendra program got 106 youth placed at several renowned organizations from across the sector of Food & Beverages, Security, Retail, Hospitality and General administration. Zinc Kaushal Kendra program focuses on enabling the unemployed youth with opportunities to upskill and pursue a stable livelihood.
Out of 106, 15 General Duty Assistant trainees got placed at the Indore SRJ-CBCC cancer care hospital, 39 Security trainees at Rajeev Gandhi International Airport Hyderabad as Unarmed Security Guards, 10 trainee youths of F&B sector as Beverage Services trainees at Ramada Resort and Spa Udaipur and 15 customer relationship management trainees were hired by 5s Digital call centre & other 6 got placed at Pantaloon Retail Outlet. Additionally, group of 21 assistant electrician trainees have been hired by Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd.
Apart from the group placements, previously in September Zinc Kaushal Kendra’s 1st batch of 13 hearing and speech impaired students achieved 100% placement in the domain of hospitality and retail. The program has so far positively impacted 3800 trainees from across the locations of Zawar, Dariba, Kayad, Chanderiya, Debari, Pantnagar and Agucha by providing them with opportunities to become self-reliant & independent and aided them in developing industry relevant skills. Further, it has successfully placed more than 3200 youths in reputed companies or have helped them to become self- entrepreneurs.
Hindustan Zinc, a Vedanta Group company through Zinc Kaushal Kendra initiative focuses on targeting the young adults aged 18-35, including school dropouts, unemployed youth, and those who want to upgrade their skills and further encourages the entrepreneurial spirit among the local youth by providing them with technical support and non- financial facilitation in setting up of an enterprise.
Hindustan Zinc is the only Indian company to be recognized at the S&P Global Platts Metal Award 2022 and has won the prestigious ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ Award. As the success of group placement is being celebrated, the next batch of Zinc Kaushal Kendra is undergoing training to attain financial independence and discover new heights of progress.
