As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd (IYM) is proud to announce the inauguration of a new school building today, at Rani Annadurai Municipal Girls Higher Secondary School, Kancheepuram. The building, which has been named ‘Yamaha Block’, can accommodate a total of over 240 students in the 4 classrooms built inside the building. Undertaken as a part of India Yamaha Motor’s ‘Model School Infrastructure’ project, this Govt. school educates girls from the nearby village.
With a total budget of INR 1.6 crores, the entire project included building a new school block along sanitary facility and furniture including benches, desks, and chairs to cater to more students. The new space has been specially designed to improve the quality of education and facilitate effective teaching and learning, while also keeping in mind the comfort and convenience of our students. And, to further motive the students Yamaha donated 600 school bags for the entire school.
The 5-month project, which completed in December 2023, was inaugurated recently by India Yamaha Motor’s senior management – Mr. Atushi Nagashima, Director; Mr. P. S. Ganeshan, Vice President and Mr. S Kumar, Vice President along with a special guest – Mrs. R. Vanmathi, Regional Joint Commissioner, Govt. of Tamil Nadu in the presence of school staff and students.
