Visa partnered with IFundWomen in March 2020 with the aim of supporting female entrepreneurs and small businesses at a global scale
Visa, the global leader in digital payments, has been committed to connecting the world and enabling individuals, businesses and economies to thrive. Through its grant program with IFundWomen, Visa has supported female entrepreneurship and empowered budding women-led business in India. As an extension of this partnership, the global project named โVoice of Accessโ seeks to convey the critical role played by Visa in bringing women under the ambit of formal credit and finance.
The India cut for โVoice of Accessโ, has released across YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter and was unveiled by PV Sindhu, badminton champion and Team Visa athlete. The film features Jai Bharathi Addepalli, who is the founder of Moving Women Social Initiatives Foundation (MoWo) and a recipient of the Visa and IFundWomen (2020).
Founded by Jai, MoWo offers two and three-wheeler training and related livelihood opportunities to women in Hyderabad.
Moving Women Social Initiatives Foundation (MoWo) has trained over 2000 women in Hyderabad in riding two-wheelers. It also partnered with Women Development & Child Welfare Department (WCD) to launch a โWomen Motor Training Centre’ in Hyderabad and aims to provide women with a useful skill โ driving a two-wheeler โ which can open up jobs and other livelihood opportunities for them.
Apart from driving lessons, traffic training sessions and digital inclusion programmes are also conducted at the centre.
