New Delhi: The Aequs Foundation kicked off its annual Science Fair and Competition, “Avishkar 2023,” at the Aequs SEZ in Hattaragi. The three-day event, which took place from January 10-12th, brought together students from 62 schools that the Foundation works with. The fair provided a platform for students to exhibit their innovative ideas and learn from various science enthusiasts.
The event was inaugurated by a number of dignitaries, including Dr Ravi Guttal, CTO and Senior Vice President of Aequs, and Lt. Gen. Nagesh Rao, Vice President of Aequs. Over 200 students from 62 schools were selected to display various science models at the fair. Avishkar also included a section for projects by science teachers, as well as a student quiz competition.
Dr Ravi Guttal, CTO & Senior Vice President, Aequs, emphasized the importance of success and the need for students to start visualizing it from an early age. He said, “Thinking of success should be a part of every student’s DNA and they should start visualizing this at an early age. This success mantra will build confidence in them and strengthen their values.”
One of the initiatives at the fair was the Mobile Science Lab Project, run in collaboration with the Agastya International Foundation, which provides access to education in STEM fields to over 4,000 students annually.
