MUMBAI: The prestigious Thadomal Shahani Centre for Management (TSCFM), India’s 3rd best institute for Global Business programs recently adopted Utkarsh Global Foundation, a non-profit organisation based in Mulund.
The inauguration of this esteemed facility, which works towards animal welfare, took place on 30th January 2020. The institute has also adopted two pariah dogs from them and provided shelter in their sprawling Mumbai campus.
TSCFM is one of the few institutions in the sector, which has consciously taken steps towards improving the condition of stray animals and focusing on their welfare. It aims at imbibing in its students, the same values and concern and serving as an inspiration for them to find pragmatic solutions to resolve these issues, and give back to society.

Utkarsh Global Foundation prides itself on premier movements like the Animal Welfare Movement, initiatives and benevolent programs like “feeding drives for stray animals” and “stray together”, and aims at providing care and treatment to strays. Its primary objectives entail — ensuring harmony between animals and mankind, rabies prevention and awareness generation, provision of free medical assistance, and the promotion of welfare through practical activism. The mission of the organisation speaks volumes about its noble principles like relieving animals in distress, mobilising public participation and optimum utilisation of available resources.
Further, it offers a large number of services like free medical care for animals, wherein approximately 2000 animals like dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, buffaloes, cows, monkeys and birds are treated every month. The organisation provides multiple other facilities including a hospital, with a seasoned team of 75 members comprising veterinary doctors, para-veterinary professionals, cleaners, security guards, receptionists and ambulance drivers.
