The students got acquainted with the importance of Road safety and were guided about traffic rules & regulations.
Udaipur: Hindustan Zinc, the world’s largest zinc, lead, and silver producer, under its Jeevan Tarang project organised a session on Road Safety for deaf and mute students in Ajmer, Bhilwara, and Udaipur. More than 250 students participated in the session which was tailored to the needs of deaf and mute students.
The objective of the session was to create awareness about road safety and to reiterate the significance of following traffic rules & regulations.
Hindustan Zinc sensitized the students about the importance of wearing a crash helmet, fastening the seat belt, not to exceed the speed limit and never to break the traffic light. The session successfully bridged the gap by providing interactive and informative sessions to enhance the awareness around road safety practices.
Hindustan Zinc, a Vedanta Group company, through its flagship programme, Jeevan Tarang aims to mainstream and work towards building the capacity of people with disabilities by supporting and providing trainers to facilitate their learning outcomes. Sessions are organised to promote well-rounded learning in Indian sign language and related health and hygiene topics; additionally, life skills training is also provided to upskill them.
