RAIPUR (India CSR): MMI Narayana Hospital has extended its support to four schools in Raipur as part of its commitment to strengthening access to education and enabling improved learning environments for students in the region. The initiative was formally marked at an event in Raipur, with participation from representatives of the hospital and school leadership.

Undertaken jointly by MMI Narayana Hospital and the CSR initiative of Narayana Health Limited, the programme supports Government Primary School, Fundhar; Government Primary School, Devpuri; Swami Atmanand Government Higher Secondary School, Lalpur; and Government New Primary School, Tikrapara, Raipur. Together, these schools cater to approximately 2500 students in the region.

As part of the initiative, the hospital has supported the construction of female toilets, wall painting, provision of water coolers, and the dismantling and replacement of school facades. These upgrades are undertaken to enhance school infrastructure and create a safer, more supportive environment for students to learn and grow. Narayana Health’s CSR programmes focus on community development. Through such initiatives, the organisation aims to nurture spaces that encourage students to attend school regularly and actively engage in their education.

Ajit Bellamkonda, Facility Director, MMI Narayana Hospital said, “We believe that strong communities are built on the foundations of both good health and quality education. By supporting schools in Raipur, we hope to contribute to learning environments where students feel encouraged, supported, and inspired to pursue their aspirations. We are committed to working alongside communities to create opportunities that enable young people to thrive.”

“Having access to a supportive learning environment can make a meaningful difference in how students engage with their education. Through this initiative in Raipur, we are pleased to extend our support to schools that are working continuously to provide students with the resources and encouragement they need to learn and grow,” said Dr. Rajendra Pargania, MBBS, MD (General Medicine), MMI Narayana Hospital.

Dr Sunil Dharmani, MBBS, MD – General Medicine, DM – Nephrology, FASN, MMI Narayana Hospital added, “Collaborative efforts between institutions can help create more enabling environments for learning. Our efforts complement the ongoing work of educators and school leadership who remain deeply committed to their students.”

HR Head Pooja Jaiswal and Cluster Head Ravi Kumar Bhagat, along with school principals, faculty, and staff members, were present at the event, reflecting their collective enthusiasm and commitment to the initiative.

Narayana Health has, over the years, undertaken several initiatives aimed at expanding access to education and opportunity. Through sustained efforts such as academic mentorship and support for students, the organization continues to contribute to society.
