Kotak Mahindra Group announced the launch of Kotak Kanya Scholarship – a scholarship for girls. Kotak Kanya Scholarship is a collaborative CSR Project on Education & Livelihood of Kotak Mahindra Group companies, which is being implemented by Kotak Education Foundation (KEF).

Kotak Kanya Scholarship will financially support meritorious girl students from underprivileged sections of society to pursue higher education after class 12.

This scholarship is exclusively for Indian students. The application process, which is being administrated online, commences on 9th August, 2021. Students will have to apply through Buddy4Study^, one of India’s largest scholarship platforms.

KEF will accept application forms till 30th September, 2021. Click the link https://kotakeducation.org/kotak-kanya-scholarship/ to apply for the scholarship.

Kotak Education Foundation (KEF) will implement the Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2021* for girls. Under Kotak Kanya Scholarship, meritorious girl students who aspire to pursue professional graduation (degree) courses from institutions of repute (NAAC/NBA/UGC accredited) after class 12 will be provided scholarships to pay their educational expenses till the completion of their graduation (degree).

The professional graduation (degree) courses include Engineering, Medicine, Architecture, Designing, Specialised Commerce & Finance, Chartered Accountancy (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Bachelor of Law (LLB) and Computer courses, etc. Further, applicants must have scored 75% or more marks in their 12th grade Board examinations or equivalent, and the applicant’s annual family income should be Rs 3 lakh or less.

Rohit Rao, Joint President & Group Chief CSR Officer, Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited, said, “Kotak Kanya Scholarship is one of the many efforts under Kotak Mahindra Group’s CSR Project on Education & Livelihood to empower the girl child by providing scholarships for their education. Lack or insufficient funds is one of the main issues that prevents girls from pursuing professional graduation level education. Kotak Kanya Scholarship, which is being implemented by Kotak Education Foundation is an effort to bring about a change in society, thus paving the way for a bright and promising future for deserving girls.”

Dr Ganesh Raja, CEO, Kotak Education Foundation, said, “The best investment in developing communities is by extending support to young leaders who are driven by passion and want to make a difference. Under the Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2021, scholarships of up to Rs 1 lakh per year will be extended to girl students to cover their academic expenses, including tuition fees, hostel fees (applicable only for on-campus hostels), internet, laptop, books, stationery, etc.”

Children of employees of Kotak Mahindra Group, Kotak Education Foundation & Buddy4Study are not eligible to apply for Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2021.
