Noida (India) ITC, in collaboration with the UP Education Department and STAIRS Foundation, proudly launches the transformative CSR initiative “Bounce of Joy,” aimed at nurturing the talents of young football enthusiasts. This strategic partnership underscores a collective commitment to fostering holistic development through sports.
Gautam Buddh Nagar’s District Magistrate, Manish Kumar Verma, inaugurated the program in the presence of the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) Dharmvir Singh and the BSA Rahul Panwar, solidifying the collaborative effort between governmental bodies and STAIRS Foundation.
The inaugural phase of the “Bounce of Joy” program commenced with a highly successful online training session, engaging over 100 dedicated Physical Education teachers. Specially identified from diverse schools, these educators underwent intensive training to comprehend the unique needs of children, empowering them not only to excel in football but also to blossom into well-rounded individuals.
Certificates of recognition were presented to the Physical Education teachers, acknowledging their exceptional contributions and commitment to the program. This recognition ensures that these educators can effectively guide and mentor young talents in their respective schools.
Manish Kumar Verma (IAS), District Magistrate, Gautam Buddh Nagar Noida(U.P.), in endorsing the ‘Bounce of Joy’ program said, “The ‘Bounce of Joy’ program is a commendable initiative to unlock the potential of our youth through sports. Witnessing such targeted efforts positively impacting our young generation is heartening. I am very happy with such CSR initiatives for GB Nagar and would give personal attention and support to this as well as any such initiative for the youth and the sports.”
Expressing his happiness over the recent partnership with the state government of Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Operating Officer of Biscuits & Cakes Cluster at ITC Ltd, Ali Harris Shere, emphasized the significance of nurturing grassroots-level talent. He affirmed his long-term commitment to the youth of the state and stated, “Together with the state government of UP, we aspire to create a positive impact on the lives of aspiring young footballers and foster a culture of fitness and sportsmanship.”
Siddhartha Upadhyay, President of STAIRS Foundation, emphasised the program’s core objective, remarking, “We believe in the transformative power of sports, and the ‘Bounce of Joy’ program epitomises that belief. By empowering PE teachers, our aim is to catalyse a ripple effect that positively influences countless young lives.”
Senior IAS Dr. D Bhalla (Retd), currently serving as Advisor to the Chief Minister of Nagaland, was also present at the occasion. He expressed his happiness over the initiative and blessed the children.
This pilot phase of the “Bounce of Joy” program is set to touch the lives of one lakh kids through 100 Government schools in Uttar Pradesh, amplifying its reach and impact.
